Problem:
No Allotments Available in Bakewell !
Due to the lack of available garden allotments in Bakewell, a Feasibility Study (supported by the Sustainable Development Fund of the Peak District National Park Authority and DEFRA) has been undertaken to more properly assess the level of demand for additional allotments among residents of all ages. Other aspects of potentially adding new allotments sites were also investigated.
This was a Public Consultation within Bakewell in which all interested parties were urged to become involved, by all of the following 4 methods:
- Complete a Questionnaire, available from the Tourist Information Centre in Bakewell. The deadline for submission of completed Questionnaires was Sunday 16 September.
- Read the Open Evening report, which took place on 10 September at 7:00 pm at the Medway Centre in Bakewell, with 30 attending.
- Contact Us to send any comments or queries, and to register your interest.
- Sign the Petition! If you are a voter registered in Bakewell, and you would like to have or share an allotment, then you can still sign the Petition, which is located at the Bakewell Tourist Information Centre, which is open 7 days a week. Please Note: 27 signatures received by 5:00pm on Monday 17 September were presented to the Town Council later that evening.
